What is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) / Commuter Benefits option?
With an FSA / Commuter Benefits account, you can cover the cost of eligible expenses with “before-tax” dollars, almost like an automatic tax deduction. The dollar amount you choose will be transferred from each paycheck, before taxes are deducted, and contributed to your account(s). Then, use your debit card to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses or submit a claim for reimbursement.

Our administrator is TASC. Contact TASC at (800) 422-4661 if you have questions about your FSA options.

How much can I elect to contribute to my account(s)?
Each year, you choose an amount within a given range to be transferred to your account(s) from your paycheck. It is recommended that you base your designated amount on predictable expenses. The amount you choose will be transferred in equal installments from each paycheck throughout the year.
Maximum amounts are announced during each Open Enrollment.

Specific out-of-pocket expenses are eligible for reimbursement. Visit the TASC website for help.

What is a debit card used for?
Participants are issued their own debit card to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses; use it to pay your copays and other expenses on-the-spot. The amount is automatically deducted from your account, so no receipts or claim forms are typically needed.

When can I enroll in the FSA / Commuter Benefits plan?
You can join by submitting an enrollment form to the Business Office (lmccoy@mansfieldschool.com) during Open Enrollment. Once enrolled, you must re-enroll each year to continue in the program.

Can I access my account online?
After your effective date, you can register for TASC online tools to manage your account. Once registered, you can view transaction history, submit claims online, report a lost or stolen debit card, and much more. See below for information:
