With these options, you can cover the cost of eligible out-of-pocket health care and/or commuter expenses with "before-tax" dollars, almost like an automatic tax deduction. The dollar amount you choose will be transferred from each paycheck, before taxes are deducted, and contributed to your account(s). Then, use your debit card to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses or submit a claim for reimbursement.
Our plan administrator is WEX (formerly Discovery Benefits). Learn more about this option with the below resources and links:

How much can I transfer to my FSA?
Each year, you choose an amount to be transferred to your account(s) from your paycheck. It is recommended that you base your designated amount on predictable expenses. The amount you choose will be transferred in equal installments throughout the year. For the current plan year, the maximum contribution amounts are as follows:
Health FSA: $200 minimum / $1,500 maximum
Carryover Amount: up to $570 can be carried over into the new plan year
Qualified parking: $300 maximum per month*
Qualified vanpooling/transit passes: $300 maximum per month combined*
Note: you must have funds in your commuter account before you spend them; you can change your commuter contribution amount at any time.
What out-of-pocket expenses are eligible for reimbursement?

What is the WEX debit card?

When can I enroll?
You can join the Health FSA by submitting the Data Collection Worksheet during Open Enrollment, typically held each fall for the upcoming January 1 through December 31 plan year. Once enrolled, you must re-enroll each year to continue in the program.
Because the Commuter Benefits option is a month-to-month benefit, you can enroll/disenroll at any time during the year.
What happens if I have money left in my account at the end of the year?
Health FSA: be aware of the "use-it-or-lose-it" rule; any funds left in your account after any applicable grace period/carryover is applied are forfeited.
Commuter Benefits: any funds left in your account at the end of the year can be carried into the next year, if you continue to participate.
Can I access my account online?
