Newton Public Schools
Our District medical and prescription plans are offered through Aetna / Horizon OMNIA and are administered by the Schools Health Insurance Fund (SHIF). Rx Alliance / Benecard is our prescription carrier; Delta Dental is our dental carrier. The District also offers a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and medical/prescription plan waiver to eligible employees. Below is information for the available plan options.

Note: Effective July 1, 2022, the Aetna Choice POS II $15/25 plan is the base plan for District benefits. During our annual Open Enrollment, you have the option to enroll in lower cost plans or remain in your current plan (Aetna Choice POS II $10 or $15) by paying the cost differential.

Reminder: if your start date was on or after July 1, 2020, you must be enrolled in the New Jersey Educators Health Plan (NJEHP) or Garden State Plan (GSP) for medical and prescription coverage.
