-Reminder: if your start date was on or after July 1, 2020, you must be enrolled in the New Jersey Educators Health Plan (NJEHP) for medical and prescription coverage; use the Chapter 44 NJEHP calculator to figure your estimated contribution.

-If enrolled in the Aetna Open Access Managed Choice $20/$30 or HRA plan, your plan contribution is based on a percentage of salary. If you need your assigned contribution percentage, email benefits@sbschools.org.

-If you choose to enroll in the Open Access Managed Choice $15 plan, your plan contribution is based on a percentage of salary PLUS the premium cost differential between the $20/$30 and $15 plan. Email benefits@sbschools.org for instructions.

-If enrolled in the Savings Plus Plan and/or Dental Plans, your plan contribution is based on Chapter 78 guidelines. Note the following about Chapter 78 contributions (Savings Plus Plan and Dental Plans):

Chapter 78, P.L. 2011 requires public employees (and certain retirees) to contribute a percentage of the premium cost for their health coverage. Your contribution amount is based on your specific Collective Bargaining Agreement, salary range, and coverage tier (e.g., Single, Parent/Child, Member/Spouse/Partner, Family). Employees are required to pay either the calculated percentage or 1.5 percent of salary, whichever is higher.
